Their name comes from the Carragheen, a red alga that grows along the Atlantic coasts: in fact, Carrageenans are the natural gelatines that compose the cell walls of these specimens.
By combining Carrageenans and water, it is possible to obtain a filmogenic gel suitable to activate the diffusion in depth of the active substances applied on the cutaneous tissue.
