Commonly called Irish Moss or Carrageen Moss, it is a species of red seaweed living in deep water, submitted to extreme environmental conditions (UV exposure, dry conditions at low tide).
Chondrus Crispus has a very high content of minerals, trace elements, magnesium, sulfur, proteins and carrageenans, rich in iodine and vitamin C. It creates a second skin on the surface leading to a non-occlusive barrier to protect from harmful effects of the surrounding environment. It makes the skin marvelously silky, and the hair stronger and protected from pollutants.
