It is the zinc salt of ricinoleic acid, a major fatty acid found in Castor oil, a vegetable oil obtained from the seeds of the Ricinus Communis plant.
It traps and absorbs odor molecules, making them imperceptible to the odor receptors in the nose. It doesn’t interfere with the cutaneous natural bacterial flora and doesn’t inhibit the natural transpiration.
