Shea butter comes from the seeds of an African plant, Vitellaria Paradoxa, a tall and imposing tree also called “tree of eternal youth”. Shea nuts are harvested and a soft and buttery substance with a light yellow color and sweet scent is extracted from inside them.
Shea butter appears as a dense ivory-colored mass and is rich in fatty acids, phytosterols, vitamin A and vitamin E, with multiple healing properties.
